Getting to know Tiffany Ong

Meet Tiffany Ong, Head of Microsoft Singapore at Wild Tech. We sat down with Tiffany to talk about her career journey, her approach to leadership and customer relationships, and what she values most about life and culture at Wild Tech.

Quickfire questions

How would your friends describe you in three words?

My friends would describe me as observant, driven and curious. These qualities are important in my work too. In sales you need the drive, but also the intuition to hear what customers are saying, and what they’re not saying.

What energises you outside of work?

I’m very active. I dive, pole dance and recently started skiing, so I’m still very much a beginner. Pole dancing is challenging, but it’s an amazing workout. I’m also going on a diving trip to Okinawa, Japan, at the end of the month.

If your life outside work was a movie genre, what would it be?

Definitely an adventure. There’s always something happening, always something new to try or figure out. Not drama. I don’t live for that. But adventure, yes.

How would your friends describe you in three words?

🤣 Laughing/Crying
👀 Sideeye
❤️ Heart

What’s something people are often surprised to learn about you?

That I’m 41 and have three kids, aged 15, 12 and 9. People don’t usually expect it. I think I give off youthful energy, and sometimes when we’re out together, I don’t even look like their mum!

Are you a foodie or a “placie”?

I’m both. I used to travel with someone who only cared about food, even during cherry blossom season in Japan, and our travel styles often clashed. Over time, I realised I love both exploring a place and finding amazing food. The perfect combination is a great meal with a great view.

What was your first real job?

I was a wedding planner assistant, selling bridal packages and supporting brides. That’s where I first developed my sales skills.

Life at Wild Tech

What does your role look like?

I’m the Head of Microsoft Singapore at Wild Tech, so I wear a lot of hats. I look after account management, customer success, sales, lead generation and qualification, proposal writing, hiring, P&L, invoicing, and even chasing payments. Basically, everything needed to run the business.

What attracted you to this role or industry?

I came into the industry by chance, but I stayed because it’s fastpaced and constantly changing. Every year is different, especially with AI transforming everything. I get bored easily, so this industry is perfect for me.

Was this always the career path you imagined?

Not at all. I wanted to be a marine biologist growing up.

What has been your biggest learning curve since joining Wild Tech?

Running an entire business. I’ve been a consultant, then a salesperson, but this is the first time I’ve had to handle everything from P&L to hiring to staff retention. I had to learn very quickly, and the support from management has been amazing.

Wild Tech culture & team

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The team. There’s so much collaboration, transparency and genuine care. People check in to ask if you’re okay or need help. A lot of companies say they have that kind of culture, but here it’s real.

Why do you enjoy working at Wild Tech?

There’s a lot of room to grow, individually and as a team.

What's a moment that made you feel proud to be part of Wild Tech?

When we closed TOUCH Community Services together, and Matt flew down to support the presentation to the C‑level. That moment really showed the strength of our teamwork.

How would you describe the culture to someone thinking of applying?

Open, collaborative and growth‑oriented.

Who has had the biggest impact on you since joining?

Grant. I’ve never worked with an owner who is so hands‑on. He’s present, involved and supportive. When we need to make tough decisions, he’s right there. It makes a huge difference knowing you’re not alone.

What’s something the team does really well together?

Drink games and darts. We’re surprisingly good at both.

What makes you feel included and valued?

I feel included and valued when my efforts are recognised, whether formally or informally. Knowing that leadership trusts my judgment and supports my decisions means a lot.

Career, growth & advice

What’s next for you?

Growing the company, together as a team.

What skill are you currently working on?

I’m deepening my knowledge of the Microsoft partner ecosystem and compliance frameworks, like ECIF and Solution Partner designations. These areas change constantly, so there’s always more to learn.

What's the best piece of career advice you’ve received?

Build relationships, not just skills. Longterm success comes from trust and connection with clients, colleagues and teams.

What's something you wish you’d known earlier in your career?

That people leave managers, not companies. Management makes all the difference.

What advice would you give someone starting out in this field?

Develop both your technical skills and your relationship‑building skills. Understanding systems and processes is important, but your ability to listen, collaborate and communicate is often what sets you apart.

Customer success & wins

How do you approach building strong, trusted client relationships?

With honesty and integrity. It’s about being transparent, responsive and always acting in the customer’s best interest.

A moment where you helped a customer achieve a great outcome:

With one of our clients, we resolved 70% of their historical support tickets within just three months. Their previous vendor had been unable to resolve those issues for more than a year. The client even submitted a written commendation for Jensen.

What sets Wild Tech apart for customers?

What sets Wild Tech apart is the dedication of our consultants. They take real ownership and genuinely care about delivering successful outcomes. The client feedback we receive is one example, and the fact that this client agreed to become our first case study, with a video testimonial also on the way, is another.

How do you keep customer experience front and centre?

I keep clients informed, respond quickly, and make sure they feel supported every step of the way. It’s about empathy, communication, transparency and building trust.
