The Opportunity

We’re looking for a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central Technical Lead Consultant who can serve as both a trusted advisor and a hands-on technical expert. In this role, you will lead end-to-end Business Central projects — from initial discovery and solution architecture to development, delivery, and support.

You’ll work directly with clients across industries, guiding them through business process analysis, system design, and technical implementation. You will also mentor and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver robust, fit-for-purpose Business Central solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Analysis
  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering workshops with stakeholders.
  • Capture business processes, pain points, and future-state requirements.
  • Drive fit/gap analysis, document functional and technical requirements.
  • Solution Design & Architecture
  • Architect scalable Business Central solutions (including customizations, integrations, and extensions).
  • Work with development teams to translate design into detailed technical specifications.
  • Recommend best practices and drive innovations using the latest Dynamics 365 tools and modular extensions.

 

Implementation & Delivery

  • Oversee configuration, development, and customization of Business Central modules (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Projects, Manufacturing).
  • Lead data migration efforts, ensure integrity and quality of migrated data.
  • Manage system testing, UAT, and go-live deployment.
  • Provide workshops, training, and post-implementation support to maximize user adoption.
  • Team Leadership
  • Act as the lead consultant, coordinating work across functional consultants, developers, and project managers.
  • Mentor junior team members, offering guidance in both technical and functional domains.
  • Ensure that deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay up to date on the latest Dynamics 365 Business Central features, Microsoft ecosystem updates, and industry trends.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and new integrations.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV.
  • Deep understanding of core Business Central modules: Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Projects, Manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience with AL development, extension design, integrations, and customizations is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience — with ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills — both technical and non-technical — and experience leading client workshops.
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving orientation, and client-focused delivery approach.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (or equivalent) are a strong plus.
