About the Role
 

We’re looking for a skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer/ Technical Consultant to join our team. You’ll deliver full-cycle implementations, solution design, configuration, and provide ongoing functional support. Working across modules like Finance, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Projects, you’ll partner with clients to ensure optimal system adoption and business outcomes. 


Role Overview
 

We’re seeking a proactive and technically skilled D365 Business Central Developer to design, build, and maintain custom extensions, integrations, and solutions within Dynamics 365 Business Central. You’ll work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, and end-users to translate requirements into scalable, well-documented technical implementations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Solution Development – Design, develop, test, and deploy custom functionality using AL (and C/AL for legacy migrations), Visual Studio Code, and standard BC development tools  
  • Extensions & Integrations – Create and maintain BC extensions; build APIs and integrations with Power Platform, Azure, third-party systems, POS/ecommerce, or internal Apps  
  • Code Optimization – Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
  • Data Migration – Assist with ETL processes to migrate data from NAV or other legacy systems into Business Central  
  • Collaboration – Work with functional consultants and business stakeholders to define technical requirements, write design specs, and ensure solution alignment  
  • SDLC Participation – Engage in all SDLC phases: design, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. 
  • Documentation & Standards – Write and maintain clear technical documentation; participate in code reviews and uphold best practices  
  • Continuous Learning – Stay current with BC features, AL improvements, AppSource updates, Power Platform, and evolving industry trends  


Qualifications & Skills
 

  • Education – Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Experience – Minimum 3 years (junior) to 5+ years (mid/senior) of hands-on BC/NAV development, including using AL and C/AL  
  • Technical Skills – 
    • Proficient in AL and legacy C/AL programming 
    • Familiarity with .NETC#JavaScript and SQL Server 
    • Experience with AL development tools: Visual Studio Code, GitHub/Azure DevOps, CI/CD workflows  
    • Competent in data migration, performance tuning, and integration techniques  
  • ERP Knowledge – Solid understanding of core BC/NAV business processes: Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Retail  
  • Communication – Strong verbal and written communication; ability to translate technical concepts to functional and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving – Strong logic, debugging skills, and attention to detail. 
  • Certifications – Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (MB-800 or MB-820) is strongly preferred  
  • Additional Skills (nice to have): 
    • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure services 
    • Familiarity with POS, ecommerce, or retail systems integration  
    • DevOps experience with Git, Docker, or similar tools
